Florida

This past summer after taking a break from traveling to go to summer camp, we loaded up the car again and headed to Florida. First stop was the Daytona Beach for good ol' family reunion. Boy we had some good times! Like hangin' out with the newest edition to the crew (Carter Johnson), boogie boardin' on the beach with the Metcalfs, and eatin' some good food with Pop and Doda.

All in all it was a pretty fun trip. But pretty soon (way to soon if you ask me) it was time to go. But while my brother and the rest of my family went back home, I spent the second half of my adventure in Destin, FL with Pop and Doda. Lots of good memories! I caught my first Redfish, went fishin' with Pop's friend "Catfish", and went to the Eglin Air Force Base Museum with Doda. The later was really fun and Doda was really surprised by my knowledge. But sadly that week had to end also. So on Saturday we drove to the airport and I flew back to Indianapolis by myself.

Belize!!!!!

For my first summer vacation this year my grandmother took me and my mom to Belize.we stayed in one of the nicest resorts I have ever been to . It was buried deep in the jungle. I saw lots of things i had never seen before, like basilisk lizards ( or Jesus Christ Lizards because they can run on water).

Then the next day we went to Caracol ( snail in mayan). It is the largest Mayan sit in Belize. Its even larger than the country's capital, Belize City! We saw lots of Howler Monkeys and other wild life.

But the most fun was when me and my mom (Nona had stepped off a step and as we later found out broke her ankle) climbed the giant temple there. The view at the top was amazing. Later as we were walking out we saw some British commandoes and I took a picture with them. A few days later when we were in Guatemala we went to Tikal, the most excavated mayan site in the world. Again there were lots of Howler Monkey. We also climbed lots of temples and even saw a toucan! The next day we flew back to Belize and went to the Belize Keys. There was lots of fun when we went snorkeling, fishing, and just enjoying the tropics.

We had a great time in Belize and I would highly recommend it to any one!

Halloween

Last Saturday was Halloween. This year was way better than last year. I got a lot more candy this year and a lot more Crunch chocolate. This year I was Mace Windu from Star Wars. My brother went as Anikyn Skywalker. We got a lot of candy like I said. But the sad thing is that no one came to my house for candy. When we got home I had dinner and then I played apples to apples. My team won.

Story

Over the past few weeks I have been working on a story. And it includes yours truly. So here it is.

One day traveling the vast openness of space is Shaquille O’Neal. He was flying to a space basket ball game when one day he was thrown out of the space shuttle. He soon found a spaceship and became commander of the Millennium taco.
Our story begins when Shaq is staying on Jupiter in a space hotel. He hears a knock on his door. He braces himself for a mob of teenage girls. But it is only a boy about 9 years old. “Can I have your autograph”, he asks (did I forget to mention Shaq is a famous space movie star!). So Shaq gave the boy his autograph. But all the sudden Shaq heard a scream. Then he saw a big group of aliens taking a woman out of her room and running off with her. “Who was that” asked the boy confused by what he just saw. Shaq who clearly didn’t know the answer just shrugged. Later that day he invited the boy aboard his ship. While they were watching Ghostbusters on TV, the movie was interrupted by a strange man in a multi color suit. Then he announced the freighting news “The woman you saw today kidnapped was the all powerful Princess Nachos. And we will not release her until we are paid a great sum of one million space dollars”. Even Shaq didn’t have that kind of money. So while Shaq’s mind raced to form a plan the boy yelled from the back of the ship “What’s this thing “ he asked holding up a blaster-like contraption. “Oh that’s just my old Cheese Ray. You can have it if you want.” Shaq said, not really paying attention. And then he got it “I know we can find out where the princess is and free her without having to pay that large amount of money.” “Can I come too” asked the boy. Shaq agreed to this but told him to tell him his name. “Creighton” he said. So they prepared for take-off and then blasted off into the universe. When they were a few spacemiles into their journey Creighton was looking at the radar because that’s what Shaq told him to do. Creighton saw three tiny blips on the radar then suddenly the ship shook violently. “What was that” Shaq asked Creighton. Creighton just shrugged. Then the heard the clanging of metal boots. Then the doors to the cabin opened. There in the doorway stood three men dressed in multi colored suits. One said “Surrender or face the wrath of the Fruit Troopers”. Creighton just said “EAT CHEESE, EVIL DUDES!” and he started blasting away with his Cheese Ray. In the midst of all the chaos Shaq opened a door in the side of the ship and the Fruit Troopers flew out of the ship. “Well...that was fun” said Creighton breathing heavily. “Let’s find the princess and get out of this part of the galaxy” said Shaq also breathing hard. So they continued to fly across the galaxy in silence until they saw a sign. “Mc Fargalds next exit” read Creighton. “That looks like a good place to stop” said Shaq. So they stopped at the restaurant and ordered two Bacon Burgers and a small Dr. pepper. “This is good” said Creighton with a mouth full of food. Then they left the restaurant to continue their journey. They had traveled a few space miles before Creighton saw a peculiar sight. “Is that earth” Creighton asked. “Let’s go see” said Shaq. As soon as they landed on the planet Creighton noticed something different. As soon as he stepped off the ship he could hear distant pounding. “What is that sound” Shaq asked. As they wondered around the barren landscape they came closer to the source of the noise. And then they found the source of the noise. “Is that a dinosaur” asked Creighton awed by the sight before him. A fifty foot tall dinosaur stood in front of him munching on leaves on a tree. “Wow” Shaq said also in awe. But then they heard another sound kind of like a roaring and it was very close. They turned and they saw a Tyrannosaurus Rex racing toward them. “AHHHHHHHHHHH……..” Creighton and Shaq yelled at the same time. And they ran all the way back to the ship and took off. “Enough goofing off. Let’s go find the princess” Shaq said. So they looked across the galaxy for days hoping for a sign of where the princess might be located but no luck until one day Shaq saw the weirdest yet coolest thing ever. “Is that a cookie” Creighton asked. It was the biggest cookie they had ever seen with chocolate chips the size of the moon. “I am picking up high fruit traces from that cookie. The princess is in there” Shaq said looking at a complicated machine full of buttons. And then all the sudden a bunch of little planes came out of the cookie and started shooting at the ship. “Quickly Creighton, man the guns” Shaq yelled. So Creighton started shooting the heck out of the fruit fighters (that’s what Creighton and Shaq were calling the little planes). Then a big ship came out and almost blew them to bits. But luckily Shaq barrel-rolled to the right and the laser beam missed them by about 50 feet. Then Shaq had an idea. He flew right over the big ship and said “Fire the T Bomb.” And as he said that he pressed a button that let a big explosive taco fall out of the ship and it hit the bigger ship and blew it to bits. So with the coast clear they flew toured the cookie and they found an empty landing space were they parked their ship. When they wondered around the ship they saw all kinds of things fruit rays, fruit bombs, and much more all fruit related things. Then when they were in the lowest part of the cookie they heard muffled screams of joy. When they found a way to get in to the room they saw a woman tied up in the corner. “That must be the princess” Creighton said. So they went over to her and untied her. “Great all we have to do now is to get out of here and get the princess back to her home planet” Shaq said. So as they ran back to the ship but as they ran they didn’t notice the laser detection system and they ran right through it. Then the alarms blared and thousands of fruit troopers came swarming out of rooms shooting their fruit rays. “I hope you brought your cheese ray” Shaq said to Creighton. Then after that the fruit troopers one by one were blown away by the cheese ray. Shaq, Creighton, and the princess finally found the ship and took off. But the fruit troopers had the same idea and followed the Millennium Taco out of the hanger and in to the space beyond. Then Shaq noticed that there were little ships behind their ship shooting them with their fruit cannons. “Creighton man the cheese cannons” Shaq yelled over the noise of the guns. And so Creighton using his ultimate shooting skills he shoot down every single fruit fighter he could see. Then Shaq, Creighton, and the princess flew back to the princesses home planet (which happened to be Earth) and Shaq and Creighton fly through space right now (except for Creighton who is reading this story right now) busting space criminals. And what became of the fruit troopers? They opened up a fruit farm on the planet Frogel. So this brings an end to our story. Until next time this is

SNC

A few weeks ago at a football game one of my favorite musical groups preformed the national anthyom. Straight No Chaser. SNC for short. They are a mens acapela group from IU. This was the original group so they were all famous and stuff like that. My good freind Doug (director of the autorium) was good freinds with them and since they were at the game I was wondering if I could go say hi to them. And I have to say they are a nice bunch of guys. I cant wait for their next concert.

cardboard boats

Last Friday my friend Nick and I raced cardboard boats at a card board boat regatta. It is a race where all these people race cardboard boats. See, Nick and I made a boat completely out of card board and duck tape. Other people came up with a Yellow Submarine others were beavers. But ours was a simple pontoon boat. It was covered with colored duck tape so we called it the rainbow boat. We didn't do so well but at least we had fun. bellow you will find our race.



Next year, we hope to do better. Its going to be a pirate ship!

This morning my mom and I went to get our new friend. He is a 3 month old cat. My dad wasn't so
big on getting a cat so we decided to name him Atticus (from "To Kill a Mocking Bird", my dads favorite book). We got him from one of my mom's work friends. She had gotten the cat from a neighborhood kid who found him. Now he is curled up having a nap in our basement. So here is
